About Us

Dr. Kim Forgione started Insight Eye Clinic with her husband, Jacob Daugherty, with the goal of providing eye services in an environment where patients can feel at home and take time to get to know their doctor. They feel that quality healthcare cannot be rushed. Insight offers full scope optometry services including annual exams, contact lens exams, dry eye treatment, and medical services.

Another goal of starting the clinic was to bring patients the opportunity to experience the highest quality optical lenses as well as handcrafted eye wear from around the globe. Jacob believes the art of opticianry is alive and well and that in order for patients to experience the clearest and most comfortable vision, eye wear must be properly selected and adjusted for each individual patient. Jacob takes as much time as necessary to ensure each patient receives personalized care. 

 

Dr. Forgione earned her doctorate at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR and has gained various clinical experience in academic and private settings as well as Veterans Affairs and Indian Health Services hospitals. She enjoys working with all age groups but has a special place in her heart for geriatrics. The best part of her job is “getting to know patients on a personal level and developing a relationship with them that continues to grow over the years.”

 

In their spare time, Jacob and Dr. Forgione enjoy roller skating, hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with their two daughters Madison and Alexis. The four of them can often be found gathered around the bonfire in their backyard playing games and enjoying each other’s company.
